"You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God."

- 2 Corinthians 9:11
Thank you for considering giving financially to Holy Trinity.
Allowing God to be Lord over every area of our lives, including our finances, is a challenge but also a great blessing! As we commit to generosity and to stewarding what God has entrusted to us, we go against the grain of the world which says, “look out for number one.” As disciples of Jesus, we look to “seek first the Kingdom of God” recognising that all we have comes from the hand of the Lord and that giving purposefully is part of our discipleship and can have a huge impact, including an impact on our own spiritual lives as we grow in faith and trust.

Why give to Holy Trinity?
Giving makes our vision a reality. Everything we do at Holy Trinity relies on the generosity of those who give their time, money and energy, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Details of our mission priorities can be found HERE. We also give as a church each month to five mission partners: Kids Club Kampala, Dignity Freedom Network, Open Doors, Tearfund, and Redbridge Food Bank.

How much should I give?
Please consider giving proportionately to your income. The biblical starting point for that is tithing, which is 10% of income. In the New Testament, tithing is less of a specific focus but giving remains core to the life of the disciple, and generosity flows out of those who are saved, and often this is shown in radical acts of generosity that even go beyond tithing. If you’re not sure what to give, spend some time in prayer and ask God to help you work out what is the right amount or percentage for you to start with, noting to review this from time to time. Finally, giving sacrificially in faith is a wonderful way to draw closer to God but please do not give to a point which puts you in financial difficulties. We are encouraged in the Bible to give cheerfully, not from a place of compulsion or resentment.

We would encourage you to review your giving at least annually if you can, adjusting up or down in accordance with your income.

We also support a number of other giving methods, including Stewardship, CAF, and envelope giving. If you would like to know more, please get in touch with our Planned Giving Officer Steve Frankish (steve@frankish.org).

When should I give?
Please consider a regular monthly or weekly donation, as doing so helps us plan our finances more effectively and improves decision making, as well as helping to shape the hearts of those who give to reflect the heart of God.
It’s helpful (but by no means essential) if you could notify us of any new or changes to regular giving. You can do this via our Planned Giving Officer, Steve Frankish (steve@frankish.org) or by using our Regular Giving Update Notification Form (link below):
Can I donate as a one-off?
Of course! We welcome one-off donations, and these often come as an overflow of thanksgiving to God or as a tithe of an amount received over and above your regular income. Any of the methods set out above an be used to make a one-off donation.

Can I give to Arclight?

Yes. Any of the methods set out above can be used to make a donation to Arclight.

Can I leave a legacy gift?
We would really encourage you to consider leaving a gift to Holy Trinity in your will. Legacy gifts can be truly transformational and help to secure the future of the church for generations to come. Our heating system, lighting system and AV system have all been made possible by legacy gifts. If you’d like to know more about legacy giving, just get in touch with our Planned Giving Officer, Steve Frankish (steve@frankish.org) and he’ll be able to provide more information.
What about Gift Aid?
If you are a UK taxpayer you can boost your donations by 25p for every £1 given. We can claim this back directly from the Government so you don’t need to do anything other than complete our Gift Aid Declaration Form (link below). A paper version of the form can be made available on request.
